Piers and Cathy Carlisle have been members of CJ's City since its inception in January 2003. Piers, formerly an elder in the church, and his wife Cathy, are currently training with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. They are based at the Restoration House, living in a mixed community with about 20 other YWAM staff and around 24 ex-street boys. Having graduated from the Children at Risk Course they are currently in a 1-year internship with YWAM, based in Belo Horizonte, working with street kids.

Stuart and Harriet Kibbe

Stuart and Harriet have been involved with CJ's City since its inception. Recruited to work with youth, Stuart served in several roles during three years of employment. Stuart and Harriet are currently running a charity out of Geneva called LABELME. The organisation exists to model and promote "other-centered living" by providing services which meet some of the international population's perceived needs.

You can keep track of God's work by visiting their website: www.LABELME.org or by giving them a call on skype: stuartkibbe.

CJ's City Short Term Mission Trips

Brazil | Summer 2006
I went on a 2 week short term mission trip to Belo Horezonte to spend time with Piers and Cathy and find out a little more about their lives as missionaries in Brazil. I stayed at the Restoration house which was their base and from there went out with the other missionaries to meet a gang of street kids. The gangs have children as young as 5 or 6, it’s heart breaking to see these children living with the danger they face.
Its difficult writing about a trip that affects you in so many ways in a short paragraph, other then to say you can see God doing great things through the lives of people like Piers and Cathy, and in the lives of the children in the rescue centres.

My Hope India | December 2006
In December of this year six members of the Pastorate here at CJ’s City will be heading to Kashmir, India, to run two Alpha Conferences, as part of an initiative taking place across India. The ‘My Hope India’ campaign sees Alpha International joining forces with the Billy Graham Organisation and Pastor Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Life ministry, to equip the local church in India to run effective Alpha Courses in the follow up to the evangelistic mission that is being held in India this Christmas time. The team here, being led by our Pastor Julio Mekki are leaving on 06 December and will be running conferences in the regions of Jammu (08 to 09 December) and Kashmir (11 to 12 December). Pray for the team, for health and safety, unity and strength and for their time of preparation in the run up to this trip. The Pastorate team consists of: Julio and Latana Mekki, Joseph and Rehana Robinson, Lloyd Burrell and Carolyn Frame
